Yvette L. Gaines is the CEO of Great 48 Empowerment & Mentoring Services, an accomplished author, motivational speaker, successful podcast host and respected professional. Her dedication to her career in law enforcement and case work, combined with her passion for writing and producing, keeps her balanced. She began her career in Civil Service in 2002 with the Erie County Health Department, and remained there until she returned to the South in 2006. In Georgia, she embarked on a new path in corrections under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security Immigration Customs and Enforcement and held various roles in her 10 years, until she gracefully resigned as Unit Manager. Yvette has since returned to New York and her Civil Service duties, where she remains driven by her determination, compassion, and commitment to serve her community with both dignity and pride.
Yvette is the wife of James (Jimmy) Gaines, and the mother of 4 children and one step son, Jameelah, Johnia, Jabreon, Jameson and Jtuan. Her family resides in Buffalo, New York. Her faith in God and love for her family provide the foundation on which she builds a successful and rewarding career, while also being an exemplary role model to her children and community.
